First of all, this is not a “How-to” article as you might be expecting…

In this discussion thread https://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.java/browse_thread/thread/6923c024ed392c85, a man named “Lawrence Page” was asking on how to set the “User-Agent” string in http head  in Java…

Were you trying to say “Hey man, go to search on Google yourself…” ? Yes, that’s exactly what I was trying to say… but wait a minute… how come the  thread was posted on 1996, and the id “Lawrence Page” sounds so family?

Damn it… Now you should know what happened after two years of this posting…
